Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH)

Click here for the latest revision of Internet Access Guide for FTTH

FTTH is the delivery of multiple types of services from a network operator or service provider down to subscribers' homes over fiber optic cables. Because fiber optic is the most reliable transmission medium, this type of broadband access is the finest in quality and offers virtually infinite bandwidth. The fact that its deployment is limited to advanced residential compounds in developed countries is due to the still expensive fiber optic infrastructure. But surely, as the cost decreases over time, FTTH will become the premium choice for broadband Internet connection.
